‘Never give up’ Hope propels homeless student to top of class

I try to keep things in perspective. When wave after wave of unexpected and urgent things hit on the same day, I can sometimes feel off-balance and a little sorry for myself. Why everything at once, I ask? I cover the situation with hope and prayer and count my blessings. In my heart, I know there will be days filled with waves of good surprises.

Griffin Furlong’s story is a great reminder of what hope, fueled with determination, can do. My woes, great and small, really come into perspective. He reminds us to ‘Never give up,’ regardless of the circumstances.
